YOUR BODY BELONGS

workshop installations and public demonstrations in support of elevating the nude form, in community, through art

“If shame is the symptom, dignity is the antidote:

Western culture has largely siloed the nude form to avenues of secrecy and made it synonymous with sexual acts. But what if the nude form itself — the naked state — is neutral, with the capacity for sexuality in the appropriate context? What if the nude body were instead elevated and dignified by being experienced publicly — live or through imagery - as a work of art? Would that change the way you see yourself? Feel about yourself? Feel about others? This is the work I do through THEMOVEMENT to challenge the perceptions of our culture and to inspire self-transformation through being witnessed in our most essential state:

It exists, because it’s valuable

It’s valuable, because it’s beautiful

It’s beautiful, because it exists

In a world of virtual everything where we’re told how to feel about ourselves, this is an invitation to ‘land in the flesh’, self-define, and remember that we are first and foremost — beautiful humans, in beautiful bodies.”

The first workshop installation of THEMOVEMENT, entitled WE ARE SHE, took place in Salt Lake City, UT with the photoshoots in January-February of 2020 and the reveal event on March 6th — just one week before the pandemic.

Though it was centrally focused on women, all future Workshops & Demonstrations will be open to all genders, ages, and abilities as a way to further expand our understanding, acceptance, and respect of one another, and what it means to be a human being.
